Best Way to Install House Numbers on Fibre Cement Siding?

Asked By CraftyPenguin89 On

I'm trying to figure out the best method for attaching house numbers to my fibre cement siding, which is about 3/8" thick. Can I use the numbers I purchased, and what would be the most effective way to install them? I've got a couple of pictures of the siding and the house numbers linked here: [https://imgur.com/a/oKERtOk](https://imgur.com/a/oKERtOk). Any insights would be appreciated!

Using a masonry bit is definitely the way to go! You'll want to use some anchors for secure attachment. The surface of your siding looks smooth, so I think 3M tape could also work as another option if you want to skip drilling.

I'd actually be careful using those standoffs with fibre cement. They might not hold up well over time. Maybe consider a different type of mounting method instead!
