I'm looking for some solid advice on how to efficiently deal with my allotment that's completely covered in grass. Right now, I'm using old carpet and underlay to cover the ground, but when that ran out, I started turning over the grass and turf layer. I have quite a lot to tackle, so I'm trying to avoid any methods that won't be effective. Should I keep going the way I am or switch it up?

Pacing yourself is key; it’s a big job prepping for planting. You might want to consider traditional methods like digging it all up and burying the grass deeper in a trench. This could help prevent it from sprouting back up later. Plus, think of it as a workout—no gym membership needed!
How deep should the trench actually be to prevent the grass from growing back? I’ve heard different things about this.
