Hey everyone! I'm new here and could use some advice. I've got some string lights in the backyard, and I need to run a 50ft extension cord from my side door GFCI outlet down the side of my house. Right now, the cord is mixed in with my stone walkway, but I'm looking for better ways to hide it. I can't remove the siding to tuck it away, so what are some creative solutions?

Hey, just so you know, it’s usually against code to bury extension cords or conceal them behind walls or siding. It’s best to check your local building codes to avoid any trouble.
Why not just bury it? That could solve the visibility issue! But fair warning, that’s illegal in a lot of places, so definitely double-check first.
Just a heads-up, extension cords aren’t meant for permanent setups! If you’re planning to keep your lights up long-term, it might be a good idea to install a dedicated circuit instead. That way, you won’t have to worry about safety issues or codes.
Totally agree! And installing a light switch for easy access would make it even better.
