I'm looking for effective ways to eliminate brambles that keep creeping into my garden from a shared patch with my neighbor. There's nothing delicate around the area I want to clear, and I'm hoping to find a legal weed killer that works. I have hardy mature bushes and trees on my side, and I want to keep my garden looking neat. Any suggestions on how to tackle this problem?

Glyphosate is what you'll want for fast results. You can find it online if it's not available locally; I just ordered some from Amazon. Just spray it on the leaves, and it will work its way down to the roots. Keep in mind, though, that you might have some seeds lying around from the brambles, so stay vigilant for new seedlings later on.
Also, just a thought, but there are better solutions than glyphosate for the environment. Maybe look into more natural options!
Honestly, I find digging them up with a mattock to be pretty satisfying. It works well and gets rid of the brambles for good, though I get that it’s hard work. If you can manage it, you might find it’s more effective than using chemicals.
If you want to avoid chemicals, just put in the hard work and deal with them manually. It’s tough but much better for the environment!

Is glyphosate still legal to use, though? I'm a bit hesitant about it.
