I'm looking for effective methods to eliminate poison ivy from my property. I went to a local store to buy a spray, but it seems like nothing was clearly labeled for tackling poison ivy specifically. What are some good approaches or products you all recommend?

One option is to use Roundup, which contains glyphosate. It can be effective for killing poison ivy, but be careful with that stuff—make sure you follow the instructions to avoid harming other plants.
Another approach is to pull it out by the roots. Just make sure you wear gloves and long sleeves to protect your skin! Try not to disturb the leaves too much while you're at it.
If you've got a large area like ours, it takes some time. Last year, we used glyphosate and it worked pretty well, killing off most of the initial growth. This year, we did some targeted spraying on any new growth and even churned the soil to deal with the roots. After putting down fresh topsoil, about 90% of it is finally gone!

Totally agree! If you're gonna pull it, make sure to dig down and get those roots. It's not just a casual pull—make it personal!
