I'm thinking about adding insulation to the ceiling or attic area of my 1998 Patriot mobile home. It struggles to keep the AC temperature down during the summer, and my HVAC system is relatively new. I notice a lot of heat accumulates up near the ceiling, even with fans running. Is it possible to add blown-in insulation through the light fixture openings if I remove them temporarily?

It's pretty common for mobile homes to have attic spaces, even if they're not always called that. If I were doing it, I'd recommend using 2" foam board for the roof, then covering it with overhanging metal roofing panels to create an extra layer of protection. That should help a lot!
Haha, yeah—naming things can be confusing! Thanks for clarifying! I'll definitely look into the foam board option.
