Hey everyone! My wife and I have a double wide that we inherited in the mountains, and we use it as a family gathering space. It's pretty manageable temperature-wise thanks to various fans, but we don't have A/C. Recently, as our family has grown, we've added more beds—bunk beds, specifically. The issue is that these bunk beds interfere with the ceiling fans. I've been looking into smaller fans, but the local sellers have advised against them. I'm curious if any of you have found effective alternatives for circulating air vertically or in a compact space. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Box fans are a game-changer for windows! You can set one to blow air in and another in a different window to push air out. It creates a nice flow between two areas, keeping things cool. I remember doing this in Southern California without A/C—it worked like magic! Just make sure to close your drapes before it gets too hot, then open everything up after sunset.
I don’t have much to add beyond what’s already been mentioned, but I'll echo that labas! It’s all about the airflow, right?
Have you thought about a whole house fan? They’re usually mounted in the hallway ceiling to draw air in through open windows and push it out. Since it’s a double wide, it might be tricky, but you could consider a wall-mounted option instead. This setup requires that rooms have openings into the hall, like open doors or vents, but it could work well if your rooms are connected!
That sounds like a great idea! All the rooms connect to the living room and have windows too, so that should work. Thanks for the suggestion!

Absolutely! We did this growing up too, and it really made a difference. Just remember to place them strategically, and you'll have a nice cross-breeze!
