I'm stuck with an outdated 80's kitchen and don't have the budget for a complete remodel. My wife wants to paint the existing glossy patterned tile counters white. We've already tried a primer, a few coats of white latex paint, and finished it with KBS Coatings DiamondFinish Clear Coat. Unfortunately, the result hasn't been great—it stains easily and chips, possibly because we didn't apply it evenly. I'm looking for better methods or alternatives that will work well for kitchen counters.
