I need to remove a stripped screw so I can replace the entire knob set that came with my house last year. I'm looking for effective methods to tackle this problem. Any suggestions?

A solid method is to use a manual impact tool. If that doesn't work, you might want to drill it. Just apply steady pressure until it loosens up!
An impact driver can do wonders for this kind of problem! If you don’t have one, consider getting one; they really help loosen up stripped screws.
It looks like the screw heads are sticking out enough to grab with pliers. I'd recommend using locking vice grip pliers to turn the screw head.
Another trick is to place a wide rubber band over the screw head before using your drill. Just make sure to press down firmly and start slow; don’t go full blast right away!
Since you're replacing the whole handle, just drill deep enough to take the head off the screw. After that, you should be able to take it apart easily.
