Best Ways to Remove Paint from Brick Walls?

Asked By RandomUser42! On

Hey everyone! I recently bought a house and the previous owners painted the basement bricks multiple times – first pink, then yellow, and finally white. I'm trying to strip all the paint off, but using citri-strip and a wire brush is super time-consuming and it's not coming out as clean as I'd hoped. Does anyone have better suggestions or tips for removing the paint more effectively?

Sandblasting is a solid option if you’re looking for a heavy-duty solution. It can strip the paint off pretty efficiently, but just keep in mind it can create a mess!

You might want to consider hiring a dry ice blasting service. It’s really effective for removing paint from brick without leaving behind blasting media. Check out this video for a demonstration: [Video Link]. Just make sure to mask off the whole area to avoid any mess!

That sounds amazing! I’ve never come across dry ice blasting before; thanks for sharing!
