Best Ways to Remove Sand and Stones from My Garden?

I'm looking for some advice on how to tackle the removal of about 48 square meters of sand mixed with larger stones from my garden. I need to take out around six inches in depth across the whole area. The problem is that I can't get a mini digger in, and I feel like doing it all by hand with regular garden tools would be a backbreaker. The surface isn't exactly soft either. Are there any smaller mechanical tools or alternative methods I could use to make this job easier?

You might want to check out an electric wheelbarrow or something like a Reach-Right handle. They can really lighten the load and make moving stuff way easier!

If you can't fit a mini digger through your doors, getting rid of the spoil can be tricky. But have you thought about using a wheelbarrow? You could carry the material through your house to a skip at the front. It’s a pain, but it sounds doable since your access is pretty straightforward, just remember those doors are slightly narrower than they should be!

That sounds like a solid plan! Using garden waste bags to help you haul the sand might save some hassle too.

Honestly, what you really need is a couple of strong friends to help out! Manual labor is rough but can be fun with the right crew. Plus, you've got the exercise to look forward to!
