I recently pulled up about 600 square feet of glue-down vinyl from my concrete slab, but now I'm stuck with a really tough adhesive that's also sticky, making traditional methods like sanding or priming impossible. I've been using handheld floor scrapers, but they haven't helped much. A tool rental place advised against using a floor scraper since it's not effective for this kind of sticky adhesive. I'm considering two options: either buying a grinder with a cup wheel to scrape it off or using a heat gun or torch to soften the adhesive before scraping. Does anyone have experience with this or any advice on the best methods?

Have you thought about using glue stripping chemicals specifically designed for concrete? They tend to work really well for stubborn adhesives. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully for safety and effectiveness!

Sounds good! Do you know of any budget-friendly options? I've found most around here are about $100 for 4L.
