Best Ways to Rout Curved Corners for a Router Plate

Asked By CraftyNinja89 On

I'm building a workbench top with a router plate featuring curved corners that have a 3/4" radius. I'm looking for advice on how to accurately rout the inset for this plate because my freehand routing skills won't cut it! Any tips or techniques to ensure the corners come out just right would be much appreciated!

A great way to tackle this is by making a template from plywood. Use double-sided sticky tape to hold the template down while you route. Just make sure to check the depth so that the plate is flush with the workbench top!

Thanks for the tip! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the template-making part, but I'm getting there!
