Best Ways to Safely Plug in a Pond Filter from a Distance?

I'm looking to install a pond filter but I'm a bit confused about the best way to plug it in. I have an outdoor electrical outlet, but my pond is about 15 feet away and there's a patio in between the plug and the pond. I've read a lot of guides, but they just say to plug it in without much detail. What's the best way to run the cable safely and discreetly? I want to avoid running it over the ground or digging up my patio. Any tips?

For starters, if you've got a patio in the way, you'll likely need to lay an extension cable on top of it. There are some neat cable ducting options out there that you can use to keep it tidy and protect it along the patio’s edge. Once you’re past the patio, you can bury the cable using some buried ducting to keep it safe. Just make sure to have an outdoor-rated socket at the end for your pond filter!

Yeah, ducting is a great way to go! Keeps everything looking clean and organized.

I personally just run the cable along the ground and tuck it behind pots or rocks to keep it discreet. Just make sure to use armoured cable to protect it better. It definitely keeps it out of the way!
