I recently removed the baseboard to make more room for a deep countertop refrigerator in my small kitchen. Now I'm trying to seal the gap that has been created behind the fridge. I've thought about using shoe molding, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to cover the gap completely. What are some effective methods or materials to properly seal it off? Any suggestions would really help! Thanks!

You could just put a fridge in that spot and leave it; it might be enough not to worry about it. Just keep an eye on water leaks since that could cause some damage later on.

That's true, but I'm really worried about any potential water damage, especially if I don't seal it right.
