Best Ways to Sell My Old Gym Equipment without the Headache?

I've got a bit of a situation with my home gym; it's overflowing with equipment! I have an older Peloton Bike, a Nordic Track treadmill, and an elliptical—all still in great shape but taking up way too much room. Now that I'm looking to upgrade, I'm feeling really overwhelmed at the thought of dealing with the selling process. The idea of listing each item separately on Facebook Marketplace and handling the constant "is this available?" messages, no-shows, and figuring out how to get everything out of my basement is giving me anxiety. Has anyone successfully sold several large pieces of fitness equipment without it turning into a second job? I found a service called Trade My Stuff that seems to buy used equipment and handle pick-up, but I'm not sure if it's reliable for selling multiple items. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I think Facebook Marketplace could work well for you. If you're clear about your pricing and conditions in the posts, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to sell them all. Just set boundaries on when and where you’re available for pick-ups to make it easier on yourself.

Thanks, that’s a good suggestion! I'll give it a shot.

FB is really effective if you price your items reasonably. I’ve had success selling my gear there, just make sure to take some good photos and write decent descriptions to attract buyers.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, donating is always an option. You can save a lot of time that way. Just keep in mind that selling requires patience—you might run into some flaky buyers along the way. Nextdoor is another platform to consider alongside Facebook.
