I'm about to paint my master bedroom and bathroom ceilings and was wondering which type of white paint is most commonly recommended. Is it just a standard un-tinted ceiling paint like Behr, or is there something better?

I think you should go for a flat white ceiling paint. That's what I used, and it's a solid choice for ceilings. Just make sure to look for paints specifically designed for ceilings—they usually do a great job.
You can definitely use any white you like, but there are specific ceiling whites available in stores. I’d suggest avoiding satin or eggshell finishes because a flat/matte finish works best for ceilings. If you want to match an existing paint, take a chip to the store, but remember you'll probably need to repaint the whole ceiling to avoid issues with color variations due to fading or different paint lots.
If you're painting the bathroom, make sure to grab some paint that's moisture-resistant since bathrooms get humid. There are several brands that make moisture-resistant ceiling paint. A quick search should help you find what's best!

Yeah, and if you're matching colors, make sure to note that even slight differences in light can change how they look. It’s always a good plan to test!
