Hey everyone! I'm working on building a high-power e-bike, and I want it to be compatible with EV charge points. My battery pack is rated at 115V DC nominal, but I need at least 250V DC on the battery side for DC fast charging. I'm trying to figure out whether it's better to use a high-power bidirectional DC-DC converter or to set up a contactor system to switch from parallel to series configurations. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Using a high-power bidirectional DC-DC converter sounds like a great idea! It would be much more compact than setting up a bank of contactors to handle those high currents. Just make sure it meets your voltage requirements!

Good point about the size! Just remember, it has to handle the voltage properly since you need to lower 250V down to the battery voltage and also raise the battery voltage for the charger.
