Budget-Friendly Options for Bottom-Up Roller Shades or Woven Blinds?

Asked By CreativeCactus77 On

I'm looking for a way to block out the bottom of my window with roller shades or woven blinds that roll up from the bottom. I've received some really high quotes (around $7,000) for motorized options, which is way out of my budget. I'm hoping to find a more affordable solution, but I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions on who makes these kinds of blinds?

IKEA has some nice roller blinds that might work for you, as long as your windows fit their standard sizes. They're pretty budget-friendly too!

Do they actually roll up from the bottom, though?

If you're willing to measure accurately, check out Blinds.com. They offer cellular shades that have a "Top-down/bottom-up" option, which might suit your needs! Just keep in mind, those might not be the most durable for pets—woven or regular shades are tougher for cat-proofing!

I looked into those too but worry they wouldn't hold up with my cats around.
