Hey everyone! I recently got into buying a house and discovered that my builder may have been dishonest about the siding material. Initially, I was told it was Hardie Plank siding, but after snapping some photos, I was informed that it's supposedly LP siding with cement infusion. Honestly, it just looks like standard wood to me. I'm nervous about investing so much in what might be wood siding, and I could really use some insight. Can anyone help clarify what I should be looking for? Looks like LP SmartSide to me. It's solid stuff, provided it's installed right. A lot of builders nowadays are using it because it performs well in terms of impact resistance and often comes with a longer warranty compared to Hardie Plank. Just make sure the installation is done properly!

LP SmartSide? But why did the builder say it was cement infused?
