I'm curious if anyone has used a clip-on grow light to help their succulents during the winter months. I recently purchased one that's full spectrum and am trying to figure out if it's effective for growing succulents. As a newbie, this winter will be my first experience taking care of them indoors, and I'm hoping this light will make a difference!

It's great that you're trying a clip-on grow light! Just make sure your light actually puts out a decent amount of PPFD; not all small grow lights are created equal. Keep it around 4 inches above your plants and make adjustments from there if needed. If it’s not as powerful as suggested, combining the light with a sunny window can help your succulents thrive even if the light isn’t perfect.
Sounds like a fun experiment! Just remember to adjust the light distance according to your specific plants. If it's too far away, it won’t be effective. You could even alternate using the grow light and natural sunlight. If you run into any trouble with your specific light, don’t stress too much; there's usually a workaround!
Absolutely! Mixing both types of light has worked wonders for me before, especially during the colder months.

Good point! I've had issues with lights that said they were 'grow lights' but barely produced anything. Always best to double-check the specifications!
