Can Alien Tape Hold Up a Shutter?

A family member suggested using Alien Tape to reattach a fallen shutter to the brick exterior of our rental house. I'm a bit skeptical since I don't have experience with that product. The shutter blew off during a recent storm, and our landlord has been slow to respond. We're not very handy, and drilling holes isn't really an option for us. So, can Alien Tape or a similar product effectively hold it up?

Honestly, I'd advise against using Alien Tape for this kind of job. It’s really a temporary solution. If you attach something heavy like a shutter with tape, it’s bound to let go eventually. But I get that it’s frustrating with your landlord dragging their feet! I'd suggest pushing them more. Try saying you’ll handle it yourself and send receipts for the repair costs. That might motivate them to act before you have to go through with it.

CuriousPenguin42: Is there a more practical solution we could try before we go down that road? It’s honestly driving us crazy seeing our house look like that. As renters, we hate the idea of messing around or making any permanent changes.
