Can anyone help me identify my plant?

Hey everyone! I've had this plant for over 6 months now, and I still can't figure out what type it is. I rescued it from my mom who was overwatering it, and now it's thriving! It's even getting big! There's something growing on top that looks like it could be a flower, but I'm not sure. It just started to shoot up after I trimmed off some dead leaves. I water it about once a week, depending on how dry the soil gets, and it really loves sunlight! It's a bit moody, though. I'd appreciate any help you can give me! Thanks! ?

Looks like you might have a type of jungle plant. I can’t tell exactly without a pic, but those traits are pretty common. Maybe a Peace Lily? They're quite beautiful and like to show off flower-like spathes!

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll look into Peace Lilies!

You definitely need to share a picture! It’ll make it so much easier to identify.
