Can Anyone Identify This Plant I’m Looking to Replant?

I found this plant (check out the image) and I'm planning to plant more of it on a hillside in my yard. Any ideas on what it is? I was thinking it might be English ivy, but I'm not sure.

I’d actually recommend against planting that ivy if you want to prevent erosion! It tends to spread quickly and can smother other plants, making it really tough to control later. Instead, you might want to consider some native options like pachysandra or ferns. These will help with erosion and are better for local wildlife too! It’s easy to check which native plants work best in your area.

Thanks for the advice! I figured ivy would work since the hill is steep and the previous owner had it for a low-maintenance look, but I want to keep the area nice.
