Can Cinnamon Really Stop Roti Rot in Plants?

I recently stumbled upon a helpful plant hack that says cinnamon can prevent root rot. Apparently, it has natural antifungal properties! If you've ever had to trim your plant's roots or deal with root rot, the idea is to sprinkle some cinnamon on the cut areas before you repot. Has anyone here tried this out before? What are your thoughts?

I’m imagining what a disaster it would be for an Indian meal if the cinnamon overpowers everything! ?

I've tried using cinnamon for root rot, but honestly, it didn't work for me. I think the hype around it might be a bit overrated. Still, it’s worth a shot for some folks!

I actually sprinkle cinnamon on top of my soil to prevent mold when germinating seeds. I've read it might also have benefits like a rooting hormone, but for me, it's mainly about the antifungal effect.
