I currently have 18 solar panels installed on my roof, set up in two strings connected to a Huawei inverter. There's still room for more panels, and according to my statistics, I'm not hitting the capacity limits of my 6 kW inverter. I was wondering how straightforward it is to add more panels to boost my production, especially since I'm not exceeding the voltage limits for either string. Can someone clarify what I need to consider before doing this?

Yeah, if you're under both the power and voltage limits and still have space, adding extra panels is definitely doable! Just keep in mind that if you're not using optimizers, you'll need to make sure the new panels match the current specs of your existing ones. But if you do have optimizers, you can mix and match models as long as they're compatible with the others in the string.

Thanks for the info! My panels are connected in series; can you explain why voltage and current specs are so important?
