I recently painted my bathroom floor, which is originally terrazzo, using wall paint designed for wet rooms. I'm aware that the paint might not adhere well long-term. Is it possible to put a layer of clear epoxy on top of this paint?

The success of applying epoxy really depends on what kind of floor you have underneath. If you painted a bare wood subfloor, there's a chance it might work. For concrete, tile, or other types of flooring, it's probably not going to hold up well. An epoxy top coat would add durability but might eventually start peeling off along with the paint. If you used a proper primer before the wall paint, that might help, but if not, you're likely out of luck. You could try chemical paint removers first, but be careful as they might damage the flooring beneath. If it's tile, it could come off easily with the right remover.
If you're worried about how well the paint will hold up, honestly, nothing you put on top is likely to stick any better. It's generally a bad idea to paint over flooring unless you're okay with redoing it later. Maybe consider researching DIY methods for resurfacing instead? Totally relate to the frustration! I’ve thought about painting over my old tiles too while saving up for a proper replacement. There are tons of YouTube tutorials that walk you through the process. I found this one that gives updates on longevity after painting over tiles. It's not exactly terrazzo, but the basic concepts still apply. You might find it helpful to look up videos specific to your flooring type!
I appreciate that! I'll check out those videos. It can be so overwhelming with so much info out there.

That makes sense! I guess I'll need to think about how to strip the paint if I want to go the epoxy route.
