I've set up a battery system with four 12V batteries wired in series for a 48V system. I want to know if I can use a single 12V charger to charge all these batteries by connecting them in parallel while they're connected in series with my inverter. Is this feasible, or will it cause problems?

You can't charge batteries that are configured in series and parallel at the same time without causing issues. If you connect a 12V charger to all the batteries, you'll end up shorting them out. It's best to either use a 48V charger or charge each battery individually. Also, are your batteries lead-acid? If so, keep that in mind when charging them.

I understand your concern, but I want my setup to charge while it’s running. Unfortunately, I don’t have a 48V charger. I really think there's a way for it to work—what do you think?
