Hey everyone! I'm working on building a closet using ClosetMaid wire shelves from Home Depot, but the shelves are a tad too big for my space. Can I cut them down to size? If so, what kind of tool should I use? Would a mechanical tool work? Thanks in advance!

You might also want to check if Home Depot can cut them for you. They usually do that if you provide the measurements. Lowe's generally offers the same service!
You can definitely cut the wire shelves! I recommend using a small set of bolt cutters for this job. If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, they have some good options. It doesn’t need to be heavy-duty since you're just resizing the shelves.
