Hey everyone! I'm about to start a complete remodel of my bathroom and I've run into a bit of a problem. The space I have for the vanity measures 71.5 inches wall-to-wall, but I've found this stunning vanity that's 72 inches wide. Is there any way I could fit it in there, maybe by adjusting the sheetrock a little? The color of this vanity is really one of a kind, and I haven't found anything else like it except a smaller 60-inch version that I'm not a fan of. I've already asked my contractor, but he's not started yet and I don't want to keep bothering him if I'm not being clear. Budget-wise, a custom piece is out of the question for me, and I don't have much knowledge about this kind of stuff. I'd love any tips or ideas you might have! Thanks!

Yes, it’s definitely possible to squeeze that vanity in! If you can adjust the sheetrock slightly, that should give you the half inch you're looking for. Just be cautious about how it affects the surrounding structure, but it can usually be done without too much hassle. If you get a chance, posting a picture of the setup could help everyone give better advice!
If it’s standard sheetrock-and-studs construction, you might have to make adjustments there. Another option is to elevate the vanity a bit with a shelf to fill any extra gap. It could be a great spot to store towels or other items too! Check out some inspiration from sites like Rebon Cabinets for ideas on how to do this.
Thanks for the idea! Since it’ll be used for my two daughters, I think I might prefer to go with a more appropriately sized 71-inch vanity rather than sacrificing space just yet. But I appreciate the suggestions!

And don’t forget, if the vanity has an overhang on the countertop, you could always shorten it a bit on one side to make it fit better.
