I have a ceiling fan in my room that's wobbling so much that the canopy is visibly rocking against the ceiling. I'm wondering if I can fix this issue using a balancing kit, or if I need to disassemble the whole fan to address the problem. Any advice?

First, check to see if everything is tightened properly, especially where the fan connects to the ceiling. A loose screw can cause significant wobbling. Also, make sure the fan blades and their holders are securely attached too.
You might want to try balancing it with some weight. A simple method is to tape a penny to one of the blades and see if that helps. Move it around to different blades until it stops wobbling, adding more pennies as needed. Dimes or quarters can also work based on how bad the wobble is.
Getting a blade balancing kit is a solid option. It’s pretty straightforward, and you should be able to get your fan running smoothly with it. There are even apps that can help you balance it out. Totally worth checking out!

Yeah, I checked all the fittings; everything seems tight. It’s definitely wobbling even when the blades are secure.
