I recently replaced a French door with a sliding door, and the installer mentioned that the old door was probably a Renewal by Andersen and could be worth around $10-12k. I'm looking to sell the old door, but the only information I found was a tag from a local lumber business dated 2013, and they don't have any records from that time. If I reach out to Renewal by Andersen with the previous owner's details, do you think they can provide me with the model and dimensions of the door?

Honestly, I think it's unrealistic to expect to sell it for around $10k. Most buyers are going to compare your used door to new ones from big box stores. Just a heads-up, but if you're looking to sell it, you might want to set the price lower. I had the same thought about getting around $1000 for mine. Does that sound fair considering it has built-in blinds?
It sounds like what you have might not be from Renewal by Andersen if there's just a lumber yard tag on it. Depending on how it was built, it could have been a less expensive door, maybe around $2K new. So, manage your expectations when selling.
If it is a Renewal by Andersen door, they typically etch their name on the glass or have product info somewhere on the door. Have you checked out Andersen's product identification page? It could help you figure things out!
I didn't know they had that! I'll definitely check it out.

I thought $1000 felt reasonable too, especially with those features. Thanks for the input!
