Hey gardening buddies! I'm super into the scent of lavender and mint and want to grow them together in a single container. I've promised myself to stick to perennial plants, and I've got a hardy lavender that should come back each year. I'm in zone 6b, and I know mint can spread like crazy, so I'm hoping to keep it contained. If I plant them in a large pot, will they both survive the winter and come back next year? Do I need to move the pot indoors during the cold months? What else should I consider about growing these two together? Thanks for any advice!

Mint can be a tricky companion because it tends to spread and take over its space. It's best to keep it in a pot to avoid it running wild in your garden. Just remember, once it's in there, it’ll still come back, and you may have a mint invasion in your yard later if it escapes!
