I'm really fond of wisteria because of how beautiful it is, but I know it can be super invasive and a bit of a hassle to manage. Is there a way to grow wisteria that won't risk it taking over everything? Are there specific varieties that are less invasive, or could keeping it in a container work? I'm totally open to being told it's just a bad idea altogether! Just looking for sensible options before diving in.

If you’re in the East or Southeast U.S., you might want to consider American wisteria. It’s native and less aggressive than the non-native varieties. Still, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on it since it can still grow quite vigorously.
I’m in Arkansas, so that seems like a good option! I just wish it was easier to handle, like a little plant that wouldn’t run wild.
