Hey everyone! I've got forget-me-nots blooming in my garden for the first time and they look amazing. Since I'm getting married in mid-July, I'm trying to grow some annuals like sunflowers, zinnias, and cornflowers. I never thought much about the forget-me-nots since I figured they would be out of season by then. Now I'm curious—if I deadhead them or trim them back some, could I potentially get more blooms in July? Is there a way to keep them going with enough care? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

If you're considering alternatives, Lithadora could be a fantastic substitute for forget-me-nots! It has that similar vibe and color.
You might see a few forget-me-not flowers here and there in July, but generally, they'll start turning brown and going to seed by then. They don't look great in that period, so I'd suggest focusing on other annuals instead. Floss flowers, lobelia, and nigella could add lovely blue and purple hues that match what you're already growing!
Yeah, I get that. I guess I was just hoping! Luckily, I have lots of self-seeded nigella and some perennials that will do well, so I’m not counting on the forget-me-nots too much.
Just a heads up, forget-me-nots aren’t the best for bouquets since they tend to drop their flowers very easily. You might be better off with some sturdier options for your wedding!
