Can I Keep Plants in Non-Drainage Pots?

I'm curious if there are any plants that can survive in pots that don't have drainage holes. I've got this adorable discoball planter I want to hang from the ceiling, but it doesn't have any drainage. I'm thinking of putting a pothos in it, but is there a way to make this work?

Honestly, besides hydroponic plants, it’s easier to just stick with a regular pot. Put the pothos in a normal pot and then place it inside the discoball—best bet for ensuring it stays alive!

One option is to use a nursery pot inside the discoball. That way, you can take it out for watering and then pop it back in when it’s done. This helps avoid overwatering issues with the pot itself.

Pots without drainage can be tricky since excess water can’t escape, leading to root issues. The roots of your plant need oxygen, so if you want to use a non-draining pot, just be super careful with how much you water. A good way to go is to keep your pothos in a regular pot and just place that inside the decorative one.
