Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a crosscut sled and I really need a way to make the back fence adjustable without it being a permanent setup. I've seen a lot about the five cut method but I'm specifically looking for tips on creating a back fence that allows for micro adjustments. Any ideas or suggestions would be super helpful!

I remember Bourbonmoth did something similar. He created this design with an oversized hole and used a connector bolt with a low-profile head to make it adjustable. I’m working on my own crosscut sled and was planning to do the same, but I got worried. I've added an extension bar that might get in the way, and I'm not entirely sure if the bolt will hold steady. I might still explore it further, though! Just a heads up, he didn’t square his sled in the video, so you might want to have a game plan for that adjustment too.
You should definitely check out William Ng's videos! He’s known for popularizing the five cut method, and his crosscut sled fence isn't glued down, which makes it easier to adjust. I’ve made a couple of sleds using his technique and they’ve stayed perfectly square since I finished them, no need for any micro adjustments after that. Good luck with your build!
