Can I Move Bathroom Cabinets to Replace Tile Flooring?

I'm planning to remodel my kitchen and replace the tile flooring throughout my entire downstairs area. I have a couple of bathroom vanity cabinets—one is less than 36 inches—located in the way. I'm considering whether I can just move these cabinets out of the way to lay down the new tile, as I'd like the flooring to go underneath them instead of leaving spaces. Will that work without causing any issues?

Absolutely, if you're using ceramic or porcelain tiles, moving the vanities is feasible. Just keep in mind that in the kitchen, it's common to have tile under the appliances as well, like the dishwasher and fridge. If you don’t replace that and later need to move the dishwasher for repairs, you might run into problems trying to slide it out.

Yeah, you should be able to remove those cabinets without too much trouble! They're usually secured to the wall and not the floor, so just be careful when taking them out. This way, you can lay the tile underneath properly.
