Can I Move My English Ivy From Soil to Water?

I have some English Ivy that's been growing in dirt, but I'm curious if I can transfer it to water. I want to set it up in a vase, and I'm not sure if washing off the dirt from the roots will work or if it might harm the plant.

It's possible to transfer it, but be careful! Roots that are used to soil might rot in water if they're not acclimated properly. You could try cutting a vine, stripping the lower leaves, and propagating that in water. Just change the water often and monitor for any damage!

Yes, English Ivy can definitely be rooted and grown in water. Just keep an eye on it to make sure it adapts well after the transfer.
