Can I Paint My Floor After Asbestos Tile Removal?

Asked By CuriousCat93 On

I had asbestos tiles removed by professionals, along with some duct work done over the summer. Now that the tiles are gone, I'm wondering if it's safe to paint the floor with a basement gray floor paint. I've tried reaching out to the removal company for advice but haven't heard back yet. Any insights would be appreciated!

I can understand your nerves about cleaning after the asbestos removal. It's okay to sweep and wash the floor—just do it gently to minimize dust. You’re not being irrational; wanting to be cautious is completely normal!

Yes, you can definitely paint the floor! There's no need to worry now that the asbestos tiles have been properly removed.
