I'm a tall person, and my full-sized refrigerator is just a bit too low for my comfort. I think a pedestal would solve this, but I'm wondering if I can hire someone to help me lift my fridge onto a pedestal. Is this a job that professionals usually help with, or is it too small to warrant hiring someone?

Honestly, hiring a couple of strapping lads will get this done easily! I once had a moving truck emptied out for just $40 an hour, and I had plenty of people eager to help. Just be clear that you need two guys ready to lift!
This is right up the alley of a handyman. If you want someone to actually build the pedestal and secure it, they'll do that. If you're okay with just lifting it, maybe grab a stand online and find some local folks willing to help for a few bucks. If you were around my area, I’d help for $100 - my buddy and I would just need $50 each for some brews, and we'd be set!
You might want to check if you already have the pedestal. If you're having one custom-made, the person or team making it could likely help with the placement too. If not, there are definitely people you can hire for this!
