Can I Plant Hardy Plants Outside Now Despite Frost Risks?

I'm wondering if it's safe to plant hardy plants outside at this time of year, given that there's still a chance of frost. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider the risk of frost depending on your location. For instance, parts of Scotland tend to be riskier than Cornwall. If you’re in Yorkshire like me, I’m still defrosting my car on some mornings!

Yeah, I’m dealing with that too! Just trying to decide how brave I want to be with planting.

Hardy plants should be able to tolerate a bit of frost, but it really depends on where they're coming from. If your plants have been cozy in a greenhouse all winter, they might have soft growth and could struggle. Those that have been outside or are container-grown should be fine to plant. Just be mindful of the specific conditions they’ve been in!
