Can I Plant Lettuce Seeds Now When Temperatures Are 50°F By Day and 32°F By Night?

I'm planning to sow lettuce seeds, but I'm wondering if they'll survive with daytime highs around 50°F and nighttime lows dipping to 32°F. Is it too cold to start now, or will they be okay?

Yeah, they'll likely survive! Lettuce has some frost tolerance and may just germinate slowly. I remember seeing a gardener who kept her lettuce growing through winter, even in colder areas. She used a light frost blanket, and it worked wonders!

That sounds really interesting! Do you remember where I could find that video? Also, did she plant them in the fall when it was warmer?
