I'm in Zone 5b and working on my garden plan for the year. I have a fence where I've successfully grown a grape vine, but the grapes don't get harvested until autumn. I'm thinking about planting some annual peas in the spring, training them to climb the same fence as the grapevine. Will this affect the nutrients for the grapes or their growth?

Just a heads up, if you're in a humid area, keep an eye out for powdery mildew. That's been my issue with peas in hotter zones. But on the upside, the peas can actually help your grapevines by adding nitrogen. After you harvest, you could even use the spent pea plants as mulch.
You could totally give it a shot! A $2 package of peas isn't a big deal. Just know that grapevines can be pretty overwhelming; I've had to deal with mine taking over space! They may actually compete a bit and overshadow the peas.
I think it sounds like a fantastic use of space! Peas tend to be pretty low-maintenance, and grapevines are strong growers. Just train them well, and you should be able to harvest some peas before they get swarmed by the grapes.
