Can I Power My Robot Lawn Mower with a Solar System?

Hey folks, I'm looking to run a robot lawn mower on a piece of land using my solar setup. I have a 450 watt solar panel coupled with a 200ah 12 volt battery. The mower typically uses a power supply that outputs 240 volts stepped down to 20 volts at 0.5 amps. I'm wondering if I can just attach a DC converter to the battery to raise the 12 volts to 20 volts and run the mower directly without needing the original power supply. Are there any specific considerations I should keep in mind? Thanks for your advice!

Before you proceed, double-check that the charger for the robot mower delivers a stable 20V at 0.5A, as some chargers adjust their output based on the battery's needs. That 0.5A is pretty low and might just be for trickle charging. Also, using a buck converter to raise voltage could be helpful, but make sure it's efficient enough for your setup.

Check if your robot needs 20V at 0.5A because that’s really low power. If it truly requires that, a boost converter could work, but ensure it meets the power needs when the mower is operational!
