Can I Repaint My Backyard Surface?

Asked By SunnySkies99 On

I recently moved into a new place with a backyard that has this surface that looks like it's a painted concrete in a red/brown color. I'm considering filling in some holes and repainting the center area grey. However, I'm worried about the costs and whether the holes will still show through after painting. Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, grey might not be the best choice. Just a thought!

I actually want to keep the red brick look! Maybe I can blend the colors somehow.

That surface doesn't seem to be painted. I recommend pressure washing it first and then see how it looks once it dries.

I think it's painted too since I've noticed some chipping revealing grey underneath. But yeah, pressure washing is the next step for sure!

Just a heads up, painting concrete or masonry can lead to moisture issues. But if you’re looking to change the look, staining could be a great option if you want something darker!

I had no idea I could stain concrete! Time to look that up!
