I've got a Phantom brand sliding screen door at my mother-in-law's place that the squirrels have gotten to. They've nibbled at the bottom edge of the screen, and she wants it fixed. The frame and hardware seem fine, so I'm wondering if I can just replace the screen myself. I consider myself pretty handy, but I'm worried about making a mess of it. Is this something I can tackle or will it turn into a disaster?

If it's a standard screen held in with spline, replacing it isn't too tricky! Just pop the old screen out, get some new screen material, and reattach it using the spline. It should be a straightforward fix for someone handy like you.

Got it! Is the screen a typical plastic rolling type or something special?
