Can I Replace Just the Sash on Certainteed Windows?

I bought my house new back in 2002, and it came with Certainteed windows. Over the years, I've noticed that several of them have lost their seals. I heard that Certainteed is out of the window business now. Is there any chance I can find replacement sashes that fit, or do I need to replace the entire window unit?

Actually, Certainteed didn't shut down entirely; they just exited the house-window market. It’s worth looking into the company that took over their line, as they might have leftover replacement parts for your windows. This shift happened around 2015, so it could help your search.

Your best option may actually be a full replacement unless you find a local window company that’s willing to take on the challenge of fitting a new sash. It can be tricky since it might require custom work or adjustments.

By 'take it on', do you mean it would involve more work or just fitting? Thanks for the insight!
