Can I Replant Zucchini Seeds in the Same Spot After a Plant Died?

I started my zucchini garden from seed, and initially, everything seemed fine. However, I noticed the plant becoming wilty, which led me to discover squash bug eggs underneath the leaves. I clipped the affected leaf, but the plant deteriorated quickly afterward. I still have two other squash plants growing well in different beds with no signs of trouble. I'm wondering if I should try planting seeds in the same spot where the dead plant was, or if it would be better to choose a different location for planting this season. Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like those bugs really hit your plant hard! You can definitely replant in the same spot, but just keep a close eye on your plants for any signs of pests. Make sure to take preventive measures to protect your new seedlings from those squash bugs before they cause damage.

It's actually possible that squash vine borers caused the quick wilting and death, especially if you didn't notice the issues until it was already too late. I’d recommend checking your remaining plants and the surrounding area for any signs of holes or frass, just to be safe.
