I recently got a Milwaukee M18 Drill Combo Kit, but I'm considering returning the compact impact that comes with it since I'd rather just keep the fuel impact. Is that possible, or are there limitations on returning items from combo kits?

Unfortunately, you can't usually return individual tools from combo kits. Most retailers require you to return the entire kit if you don’t want one of the pieces. If you want to keep your fuel impact, you may have to sell or give away the compact impact instead.
Actually, I think you might have a little flexibility. Although it’s generally tough to return parts of kits, sometimes stores allow it if you explain your situation. Just check their return policy or ask customer service for clarity.
